This is the how teenagers and adults mark their intention to lead an adult Christian life.
They ‘confirm’ the promises made on their behalf by their parents and godparents when they were baptized as children to seek to follow Christ’s life. The Bishop, who always takes confirmation services, lays hands on the head of those being confirmed as he prays that the Holy Spirit will enable them follow in the way of Jesus. We usually arrange for people from the Parish to be confirmed at least once a year and the clergy are always happy to discuss this with anyone wishing to know more.
Please click here for information on Exploring Faith for adults. A course we are running during September and October if you are interested in baptism or confirmation or just exploration!
Please contact the office for information on confirmation for Youth and Young Adults (11 -18).
