Holy Communion (BCP)
Intimate and reflective service, with a sermon, but no hymns. It attracts a loyal congregation of 15-20 people, and is particularly popular amongst our more senior parishioners.
Parish Eucharist (CW)
This is our main service of the week, especially aimed at families, and regularly attended by up to 100 adults and 50 children. Music includes hymns, congregational mass setting, and motets ‘from Palestrina to Parry’ sung to a high standard by our choir. There is a crèche facility for the under 3 year olds, and for most services, Sunday Schools operate during term time for the 3 – 11 age groups, creating space and serenity, and attentiveness at sermon time! The whole congregation comes together at communion.
Once a month (usually the first Sunday of the month) we come together for an All Age Eucharist – there is no Sunday School on these days see here for details.
Morning Prayer (CCP)
Monday to Friday 9.15am
A quiet, reflective, said service in the chancel, with readings from the scripture and the recitation of psalms, working through a cycle of prayer for the parish. Currently led in rotation by the Vicar, Pastoral Assistant and laypeople.
There is no Morning Prayer on Bank Holidays and during the week following Easter Day & Christmas Day. During August, it is held on Wednesday mornings only.
Thursday Eucharist (CW)
Very child-friendly service attended by parents/carers and their children. This service is immediately followed by the Baby and Toddler Playgroup at 10.30 with play, music, singing and refreshments. This takes place during term time only, excluding half term.
