School Admissions

What do I need to do to apply for a foundation place?

Many schools with a religious foundation admit a certain number of students to ‘foundation places’, for which the students (and/or sometimes their parents) must fulfil certain criteria, such as regular attendance at a church. The schools set these criteria and trust churches to report honestly whether or not prospective students fulfil them.

The most common criterion is attendance at church at least twice a month for two years, but please check with the school(s) you are thinking of applying to. To help us to keep accurate records of attendance, we ask that if you are planning to apply for a foundation place you scan the QR code at church when you attend, and fill in your details.
