Youth Choirs

Treblemakers

The Treblemakers is All Saints’ children’s choir.

It is run on Thursday afternoons during school term-time in the church between 4.45pm-5.30pm (drop-off from 4.30pm is welcome).

The children learn a mix of songs, musical games and music tuition and perform in concerts and services at the church and further afield, sometimes with orchestral accompaniment.

Places are available for children in any school aged 7-11.

All Saints' Choristers

Our new chorister scheme is a follow-on to Putney Voices which was launched in 2023. Open to all young people from 11-16, this choir offers the chance for high-level training without a big commitment. No previous experience is needed. All music is provided, and membership is completely free. The group will meet monthly on Sundays, and sing in a range of mostly evening services (including our candlelit carol service) to fit around busy schedules.

Please email Alex, the Director of Music, to find out more and get involved: dom.allsaints@parishofputney.co.uk

Junior Choral Scholarships

In September 2023 All Saints’ launched new Junior Choral Scholarships. These are designed for local gifted musicians who are interested in pursuing music in Sixth Form (or equivalent) and beyond. Any interested students should contact the Director of Music for a conversation.

2025-26

For the 3rd year running, All Saints’ is offering music scholarships to young people in education aged 16-19. Primarily singing with the church choir, scholars also gain tailored teaching to match their interests. These have included solo singing, musical theory, conducting, composition as well as help with future applications.

Highlights include singing regular Evensong, trips away and concert opportunities alongside friendly and talented singers, with repertoire from Hildegard to Howells!

Generously supported by members of the congregation, scholarships are worth £500 pa. The choral scholars are supported by the section leaders who ensure they are not left on their own.

We are currently looking for a Soprano from September 2025.
