Queen Elizabeth II Orchard on Putney Lower Common – THANK YOU!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED – WE HAVE REACHED OUR TARGET OF £500!

A variety of fruit trees will be planted on Putney Lower Common this winter as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. Orchards are brilliant for wildlife and will bring blossom in spring and seasonal colour in autumn.

Originally planned to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, the orchard will now be dedicated in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II’s extraordinary life of service.

We, the community of Putney and Wimbledon, have been invited to make a contribution towards their planting and care.

All Saints’ Putney has chosen to sponsor one of the 12 trees, a van cherry fruit tree, for a donation of £500.
